Michael Freed grew up in the agricultural countryside of central California with his parents and 5 siblings. He then attended Point Loma Nazarene University and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2014. After graduating he taught private music lessons full-time first at a studio and then out of the home that he and his beautiful wife Emma lived in.
Michael met Emma on a blind date in January of 2017 and got married in the fall of 2018. They now have a one year old son, Zechariah who loves to join them on all of their many outdoor adventures including hiking, biking, and kayaking.
Music has always been a very important part of Michael’s life both professionally and recreationally. God has blessed him and Emma to be a part of multiple church plants in the San Diego Area as music directors and small group leaders. They also love to play music together for weddings, coffee shop gigs, and on the tops of mountains at sunrise whenever they get the chance.
Michael will be leading the Montenegrin team for two years as they seek to plant a house church and build a community center.
